Danny Richard Lovingood

Danny Richard Lovingood, age 62, of Sophia passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House.

Mr. Lovingood was born in Thomasville, NC on September 24, 1956 to Eulice Grant and Mamie Geneva Payne Lovingood. He was retired from Thayer Coggins Furniture in High Point. Danny was a member of Gospel Light Independent Freewill Baptist Church in Thomasville. Danny was preceded in death by his father, his brothers, Marvin Lovingood and Marlin Lovingood, sister and her husband, Imogene and William Thomas, and sisters, Margaret Lovingood and Deanna Lovingood.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Williams Lovingood; daughters, Jennifer Dawn Ferrell and husband Richard of Sophia and Krystal Renee Hunt and husband Donald of Lexington; grandchildren, Megan Teetor and husband Caleb of Lexington, Ashley Ferrell, Kelly Ferrell, Chloe Lovingood, and Carter Lowe; great grandchild, McKenzie Teeter; mother, Geneva Lovingood; sisters, Anne Shortt and husband Alan of Thomasville and Brenda Kirkus and husband Kenny of Linwood; brothers, Bobby Lovingood and wife Sharon of Thomasville and Jerry Lovingood and wife Patty of Thomasville; sisters-in-law, Emma Lou Lovingood and June Lovingood; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Shetley officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Memorial Gardens.
