David Harmon Pendry

David Harmon Pendry, age 56, of Asheboro died Monday, April 22, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House.

David was a 1980 graduate of Asheboro High School and was employed with Flowers Baking Company.  He was a member of Balfour Baptist Church which he loved deeply and enjoyed being the "director of coffee and conversation" for the church.  If you ever met David, you were always welcomed with his awesome smile.  He loved his classic cars, his Motown, his friends, but most of all he loved his family. David was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Harmon Hall.

David is survived by his wife, Kim Glass Pendry; daughter, Jessica Pendry and Elise Pendry of Seagrove; sons, Matthew Pendry and wife Brittany of Asheboro, Stephen Pendry of Asheboro; dad, Dale Hall of Sophia; father, Aubrey “Buzz” Pendry of High Point; grandchildren, Tyler and Grant; niece and nephew, Nina and Holden; brothers, Grant Hall and wife Molly of Durham, Jason Hall and girlfriend Whitney Gosden of Los Angeles, CA.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Balfour Baptist Church, 1644 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Rev. Gary Mason and Pastor Mark Wilburn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Seagrove Christian Church Cemetery.

The family would like to invite anyone that would want to bring a classic car in memory of David to the visitation and also to participate in the funeral procession from the church to the cemetery.
