Philip Raymond Briles, age 82, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House.

Mr. Briles was born in Asheboro on June 25, 1937 to Raymond and Mattie Kinley Briles. He was formerly employed in the furniture industry. Philip was a long-time member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Douglas Mack. Philip was an avid bowler.

He is survived by his sister, Beth Mack of Snellville, GA and nephew, Timothy Mack of Snellville, GA.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 1:00-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Browder officiating. Burial will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27203 or Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
