Adrian Arthur Clay, Sr., age 52, of Asheboro died Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Clay was born September 1, 1966 the son of Douglas and Rita Ford Clay. He served in the Army from 1985 to 2002.

Mr. Clay was born in Welch, WV on September 1, 1966 to Douglas and Rita Ford Clay. Adrian faithfully served his country, for several years in the U.S. Army, being honorably discharged in 1993. He was a member of AMVETS and American Legion Post 45. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  Adrian was preceded in death by his sister, Lana Clay Payne.

He is survived by his wife: Teresa Kennedy Clay, one daughter: Krista Kime and husband Steve of Climax, NC and two sons: Adrian and Elizabeth Clay, Jr. of Asheboro, NC and Ryan Clay of Ramseur, NC, one sister: Nelda Williams and husband Randy of Newton Falls, OH and two brothers: Mcdayne Clay and wife Benita of Asheboro, NC and Kevin Clay and wife Joy of Welch, WV, and 6 grandchildren.

The Graveside Memorial Service will be Friday, August 30, at 10:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery, 1601 Brenner Ave, Salisbury.
