Charles Horace Luther, age 83, formerly of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the home of his daughter in Pinehurst.

Mr. Luther was born in Denton, NC on November 21, 1936 to Lindsey and Frances Harris Luther. Horace served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Acme-McCrary Hosiery and was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheboro. In addition to his parents, Horace was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Chriscoe Luther, sister, Rose Moser, and brother, Arthur Luther.

He is survived by his daughters, Kay Turner and husband Terry of Pinehurst; Kim Luther and Lane Caudell of Asheboro; son, Chris Luther and wife Lisa of Seagrove; grandchildren, Ben, Alex, and Sydney Turner, Nick, Adam, and Cole Luther; great grandchildren, Maddox and Noah Turner; sisters, Thelma Strider and husband Mack, Myrtle Jane Cox, and Betty Slack all of Asheboro.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Business North in Asheboro with Rev. Mark Hall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Horace's exemplary caregiver, Sandra Kessey.
