Obituary of Faye Bishop Freeman
Marjorie Faye Bishop Freeman, age 92, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Cross Road Retirement Community.
Mrs. Freeman was born in Johnson City, TN on January 11, 1927 to John Percy and Cora Edna Ashworth Bishop. Faye was formerly employed with First National Bank, Thomas Brothers Ham, and Belk's. She was a member of First E&R United Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Grady Freeman, sister, Lucille Hoover, and nephews, Tim and Ricky Hoover.
She is survived by her daughter, Emily F. Scott and husband Lacy of Asheboro; son, Neill Freeman and wife Susan of Asheboro; grandchildren, Brooke Richey and husband Chip of Raleigh, Kelly Hardin of Gibsonville, Taylor Freeman of Asheboro, and Tyler Freeman of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Alley Hardin, Raleigh Farrell, Jacob Farrell, London Farrell, and Luke Farrell; special niece and nephew, Susan Porter and Chip Hoover.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 12:45-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bruce Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
