Edna Andrews Walker, age 95, of Asheboro died Friday, March 6, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Mrs. Walker was born on October 25, 1924 to Herman and Ruby Andrews in Mt. Olive, NC, the youngest of seven children. She was a graduate of Mt. Olive High School and Greensboro College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Asheboro and was preceded in death by her husband, B.B. Walker. She was formerly on the Board of Directors of B.B. Walker Shoe Company and enjoyed traveling and dancing with her husband. She especially loved listening to Big Band Music.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Foster and her husband David of Candler, NC and her son, Bart B. Walker, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Asheboro; Grandchildren, Ben Foster of Alexander, NC and Melanie Moore of Candler, NC; Great Grandchildren, Raegan Maynard, Logan Moore and Jackson Foster.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 9, 2020 from 1:00-2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 224 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Lynda Ferguson and Rev. Edward Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
