John Dewitt Kidd

John Dewitt Kidd, age 92, of Randleman passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at his home. Mr. Kidd was born in Randolph County on December 16, 1927 to Talmadge Dewitt and Rola Maie Underwood Kidd. He was retired from Burlington Mills after 37 years of service. Dewitt was a loving, giving, Christian man who was a member of Central Falls United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Dewitt was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Cleston, and Eugene Kidd. He loved his John Deere tractor and mower and enjoyed being outdoors and doing yard work. Dewitt was a jokester and an excellent small engine repairman. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 75 years, Hazel Kidd; daughter, Janie Meadows-Little of Randleman; grandchildren, Jason Allred and Winona Stalvey; great grandchildren, Jene'e Ford, Erik Davis, Caleb Allred, Patrick Allred, and Nicholas Allred; and great great grandchildren, Krystal Williams and Arianna Ford. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 2:30 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Keen officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
