Vance C. Griffin

Vance C. Griffin, age 55, of Asheboro died Sunday, May 10, 2020. Mr. Griffin was born March 24, 1965 in Guilford County. Vance was a fun-loving jokester who loved boating and old southern rock-n-roll music. He was a talented musician who played the drums and guitar. Vance enjoyed grilling and had developed his own sauce for cooking. He was a loving father and grandfather and attended Shady Grove Wesleyan Church in Colfax. Vance was preceded in death by his father, Carlton Griffin and sister, Glenda Griffin. He is survived by daughters, Rebecca Griffin of Asheboro, Tiffany Sheppard of Asheboro; grandchildren, Joshua Cheek, Alana and Noah Mitchell; significant other, Lisa Carter of Asheboro, NC; mother and step-father, Golda Griffin and Larry Cullipher of Asheboro; sister, Lisa G. Cross and husband Alan of Asheboro; feline friend, Jessie James. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 6-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro.
