To the Family,
Words can not express my sorrow, towards the loss of Larry. He was a man of great character, dedicated to doing the work of God, and helping others in need. Please find comfort in knowing that Larry served, instead of waiting to be served. Well done, you good and faithful servant.”

The loss of Larry has sadden my heart. Even more knowing that my friend Alfie has lost her lifelong love and companion. I met Larry and Alfie in 1966. Larry was my Husbands College Roommate. He was my husbands best man in our wedding. We were in their wedding as well. We enjoyed many fun events together over the years sharing with friends and family. Even though we moved to California in 1972, we have continued to enjoy our friendship. Joining for Class reunions, weddings, and checking-in to get updated with our lives.
I was recently in North Carolina at an event and had the occasion to have lunch with Larry and Alfie. It was just like old times
with Larry, joking and laughing. He said to me "girl you are still the same". We just had a big laugh !!
Larry will truly be missed...

I was fortunate enough to have known Larry since the first grade. We both served as the best man in each other's wedding almost 50 years ago and have always maintained contact with one another. We talked just two Saturdays ago.
To the family, Mary and I hope you will find peace, strength and courage through the love Larry shared, the lessons he taught and the examples he set. We will remember the life of someone so dear who was diligent in his service to God and those he met. May God comfort you in this time of sorrow. He will truly be missed.

I live in the Boiling Park area. Everyday I would ride by the park going to my house. Regardless of the weather conditions Larry and Mr. Price would be walking around the park or either sitting on the back of the tailgate of Larry's truck . Whether it was us both of us waving to each other, or just stopping by his truck for a short chat. Larry had to be one of the most nicest person I've ever met.
Thanks for all awesome memories Larry.
Miss you my friend and God Bless the Cheek family.
