Glenn Wesley Morton, age 84, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House.
Mr. Morton was born in Buffalo, NY on July 15, 1935 to Glenn Herbert and Myrtle Rebecca DiStefano Morton. He was a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville with both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Counseling/Psychology. Glenn retired as a Counselor with numerous groups in Florida including working for 13 years at the Florida State Mental Institution in Chattahoochee, Florida. In North Carolina, he became a successful Jeweler and Goldsmith and co-owned Militia Rock and Gem Shop for 30 years. Glenn enjoyed painting, gemology, and metal work which he shared with his loving family.
He is survived by his children, Tamia Morton of the home, Glenn Michael Morton and wife Becky of Aiken, SC, Lisa Hege Morton of Asheboro, and Stefan Morton of the home; his grandchildren, Thomas Hege, Benjamin Morton, Matthew Morton, and Michelle Morton; and sisters, Cheryl Ann Logan of Philadelphia, PA and Nicole Marie Proctor of Sylva, NC.
