Rev. Bobby Eugene Marsh

Rev. Bobby Eugene Marsh, age 86, of Asheboro went to be with his Lord Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Marsh was born May 31, 1934 the son of Howard Edgar and Lucy Dennis Marsh Bobby was a native of Carthage and spent many years as a truck driver. His calling was to the ministry and he led Community Friends of Carthage and Faith Alliance in Asheboro over his 40 years as a pastor. Bobby was not just a pastor he was a friend to those in his church and in his community. He never met a stranger and always enjoyed music, having sung bass with the Pioneers Quartet for several years in the 1970's. His kind heart and stalwart character endeared him to all and he will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Willa Dean Parks Marsh. He is survived by one son and his wife: Bobby Ray (Kathy) Marsh of Seagrove, NC; granddaughter and her husband: Charity (Jamie) Chriscoe of Seagrove, NC; grandson: Joel Marsh of Seagrove, NC; granddaughter and her husband: Jessica (Jesse) Creech of Wilmington, NC; and two great-grandchildren: Madison Chriscoe and Hudson Marsh. Rev. Marsh will lie in state, Friday, July 3, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral service will be private.
