Almeda Waldon Whitley Beeson

Almeda W. Beeson, age 93, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Beeson was born in High Point on March 3, 1927 to Walter T. and Hallie Waldon Whitley. She was retired from Commonwealth Hosiery. Almeda was very social and enjoyed her family and her West Asheboro Church of God family. In addition to her parents, Almeda was preceded in death by her husband, John Alton Beeson, her daughter, Gail Jernigan, and her great grandson, Ethan Frazier. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Diane Watson (Lawrence) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Tammy Hill (Randy), Penny Watson, Tina Coggins (James), Phillip Jernigan (Rachael), and Melissa Carlisle (Damon); 8 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. Almeda's body will lie in state on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 12 noon-1:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A private service will be held.
