Carletta York Hurley

Carletta York Hurley, age 81, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living Solutions of Asheboro. Mrs. Hurley was born in Cedar Falls on August 25, 1938 to Robert and Edna Jennings York. Carletta was formerly employed with Stedman Manufacturing and Burlington Industries. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Carletta was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hurley. Carletta was a very compassionate lady who loved people, especially her family. She is survived by her brother, Ralph York (Faye) of Asheboro; nieces, Donna Burroughs (Ken) of Asheboro and Kelly Parks (Derrick) of Asheboro; nephew, Mike York (Susan) of Rock Hill, SC; 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and at other times at the home of her brother, Ralph York. Funeral services follow on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Smith officiating. Burial will be held in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.
