Phyllis Strider Williams

Phyllis Strider Williams, age 75, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at her home. Born Dec. 15, 1944 to Howard and Zada Strider in Asheboro NC. Graduated from Brian's Business College and Leons School of Cosmetology. Formerly part owner of "The Pleasingly Plump Shop", and owner of Stylon Beauty Salon. Survived by husband Ray Williams, daughter Jamie Murray, son James Murray (Martha), grandchildren: Sergeant Dylan Ferguson and his wife Hannah, Myla Murray and Tristan Murray. Sister Hilda Smith, nephew Todd Smith (Amy) and niece Elizabeth Olig (Cam). As per Phyllis' wish there will be no public service. It was also Phyllis' wish that instead of sending flowers that a tax-free donation be made to the Randolph County Honor Guard, P.O. Box 1672, Asheboro, NC 27204 or the Family Crisis Center. The family would also like to thank the wonderful folks at Clapp's Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided in the last year. Also, a very special thanks to Hospice of Randolph for getting Phyllis home in time to fulfill Phyllis' wish to pass at home. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Williams family.
