Helen Isabella Meloni

Helen Marie Isabella Meloni, age 98, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Elmcroft of Asheboro. Mrs. Meloni was born in Youngstown, OH on February 25, 1922 to John and Josephine Ferrante Isabella and was a former resident of Gustavus, OH. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kinsman, OH and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic in Asheboro, NC. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Meloni, son, Daniel Meloni, Jr., son-in-law, Harold Boyer, grandson, Rob Moy, Jr., 1 brother, and 2 sisters. Helen loved her dog, Spunky. She enjoyed cooking and traveling. She is survived by her sons, Robert "Bob" Meloni (Carol) of Asheboro, Richard "Rick" Meloni (Linda) of Niles, OH; daughters, Tina Meloni Fostervold (Mark) of Pilot Mountain, NC, Jo-Ann Meloni Moy (Robert) of Kinsman, OH, Martha Boyer of Sharon, PA, and Barbara Glover (Jerry Phares) of McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Sherry, Harold, Lisa, Tricia, Jamie, Tim, and Jason; great grandchildren, Amanda, Chloe, and Alexa; and brother, John Isabella (Gloria) of Youngstown, OH. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the folks at Elmcroft and her personal caregiver, Bonnie Swift, for the loving care given to Helen. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Gustavus, OH. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 512 W. Wainman Avenue, Asheboro, NC 27203.
