Fred Wesley Garner, age 62 of Asheboro passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.
Mr. Garner was born August 15, 1958 the son of Henry and Louise Lewis Garner. Wesley loved his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working outside. He was a licensed general contractor and owned and operated Garner Carpentry for 40 years. Wesley was a member at West Chapel Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Emmary Spicer.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Wood Garner; son, Alan Garner and wife Christy; stepson, Rodney and wife Dare Spicer; stepdaughter, Brandy Collins; grandchildren, Cheyenne Garner, Brendan Garner, Alana Garner, Hayden Spicer, Hannah Collins, Isaiah Taylor, Joshua Hurley; brothers, William and wife Chris Garner, Henry Thomas and wife Delores Garner; and sister, Rhonda Lee Dunn.
Wesley will lie in repose on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 12:00 - 1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
