Joyce Faye Forrest Hidey

Joyce Faye Forrest Hidey, age 74 of Archdale, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at her son's home. Ms. Hidey was born April 19, 1946 the daughter of William and Letha Rouse Forrest. Joyce loved to shop, do crafts and yard work, and getting together with her Lady's group every Thursday to eat. She had a very giving heart and always had candy in her pocket to hand out. Joyce was a bus driver and drove for Greyhound, the Lansing Public Schools in Michigan, and the Greensboro Transit Authority. She was a member of the Western Piedmont Speak Easy organization in Winston-Salem and enjoyed camping years ago. In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her special companion, John "Hunky" Perrott. She is survived by her children, Jimmy Brown of Asheboro, Yvonne (Nick Ellena) Wheeler of Lansing, MI, Yvette Marshall of Concord, Dustin Hidey of Lansing, MI; grandchildren, Sarah Preston, Danielle Servedio, Jessica Bridenbach, Amanda Marshall, Parris Brown, Luke Hidey, Logan Hidey, James Hidey; 5 great grandchildren; and her brother, Connie Ray (Barbara) Forrest; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on, Friday, December 4, 2020 at 12:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
