Lawson Dempsey Lowe, age 72, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Lowe was born in Randolph County on October 9, 1948 to Lawson Jack and Beatrice (Betsy) Chandler Lowe. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Dempsey ran his own sawmill for many years. He was a former dairy farm operator and to this day still had 1 milk cow. He could fix or create anything and was a great provider for family and friends. Dempsey had a giving heart, made everything fun, and always knew just the right thing to say. In addition to his parents, Dempsey was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Lowe.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Gillispie Lowe; daughter, LeAnn Smith (Jason) of Asheboro; son, Jonathan Lowe (Kelli) of Asheboro; grandsons, Jack and Sawyer; and brother Sydney Lowe (Donna) of Asheboro.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Amity Hills Baptist Church, 4140 U.S. Hwy 64 West in Asheboro with Rev. Barry Wall officiating. Burial will be held in the Farmer Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
