Mabel Whisenant Williamson, age 88, of Asheboro died Friday, January 1, 2021 at Woodland Hill Center, Asheboro.
Mrs. Williamson was born December 26, 1932 the daughter of Tillman and Addell Navy Whisenant.
Mabel was a native of Morganton, NC and a homemaker. She was an artist and loved to paint. She enjoyed square dancing and furthered her education, taking several Adult Education classes at Randolph Community College. She enjoyed antiques, and traveling, spending time at the beach and in the mountains. Most of all she enjoyed visits with her family and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband, Richard R. Williamson; daughters: Mona Miller and Kathy Anderson; siblings: Junie Gadd, James Whisenant and Tillman Whisenant, Jr. and her grandson: Joshua Aldridge.
She is survived by: her daughter: Diane Farrington of Asheboro, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; Sisters: Addell Gwyn of Cana, VA, Opal (Lawrence) Davis of Cross Plains, TN; brothers: Danny (Ann) Whisenant of Vass, NC and Joe Whisenant of Tomball, TX. ,
The Graveside Service will be Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Asheboro , with Mike Thompson officiating.
