David Larry Clodfelter, age 78, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Green Valley Hospital in Greensboro.
Mr. Clodfelter was born in Randolph County on September 26, 1942. Larry was a graduate of Asheboro High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. Larry was the owner of Auto Body Works and was a member of Asheboro Friends Meeting. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Cox Clodfelter.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dora Markwood Clodfelter; brother-in-law, Buddy Markwood of Asheboro; sister-in-law, Patsy Markwood of Asheboro; nephews, Dexter Markwood, Rodney Miller; nieces, Scarlett Markwood Berg, Tabitha Bunting Ownsbey, Lisa Bunting Newton, and Lori Bunting Haithcox; best friends, Sylvia and Jack Welborn of Asheboro; and his feline companion, Lucy.
Larry's body will lie in repose on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from noon-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Mason and Rev. David Millikan officiating.
Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
