Ruby Nell King Cooper

Ruby Nell King Cooper, age 93, of Asheboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Ruby grew up in Seagrove, NC the daughter of Ima and Carrie Beane King. She attended Greensboro Women's College where she studied cosmetology and then worked as a hairdresser for many years. She was a long-time, active member at Oakhurst Baptist Church. Ruby enjoyed flowers, travelling, cross-stich, quilting and playing bridge. Ruby was a great wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by: her husband: Gilbert Cooper; daughter: Patsy Pugsley and grandson: Matthew Poole. She is survived by one daughter: Pam (Barry) Poole of Asheboro, NC, granddaughter: Leah Poole of Asheboro, NC; great-grandchildren: Karsyn O Poole and Laila Tew. Ruby will lie in repose on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow Monday at Noon in the Randolph Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Drs. Richard Crider and Keith Hudson officiating.
