Michael Richard Schrimsher

Michael Richard Schrimsher, age 68, of Sophia passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Schrimsher was born in Huntsville, AL on October 11, 1952 to Richard and Mary Jane Cobb Schrimsher. Michael was retired from Schrimsher Snacks (a Little Debbie distributor). In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Hooper, Betty Hostrander, and Shirley Kassebaum, and his brothers, Terry, Jerry, Jimmy, and an infant brother. Michael was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to travel. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Frisby Schrimsher; daughter, Michelle Marsh (Danny) of King; son, Cory Schrimsher (Celina) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Cody McPherson (Angela), Christian Pierce (Casey), Amara, Blakelyn, Kagan, and Myland Schrimsher; great grandchild, Zoe Pierce; brother, Bobby Schrimsher (Phyllis) of Sophia; brothers-in-law, Roy Frisby (Robin) of Denton, and Garrett Frisby (Joann) of Asheboro; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. The family wishes to express a special "Thank You" to the staff of Hospice of Randolph for their care giving to Michael and his family.
