Bobby Lee Brown

Bobby Lee Brown, age 85, of Asheboro died Saturday, June 19, 2021. Mr. Brown was born July 18, 1935 in Randolph County to Sample and Lela Brown. Mr. Brown was a 1953 graduate of Grays Chapel High School and a US Army veteran. He was retired from Atlas Marketing Company as a food broker. Mr. Brown was a private pilot who loved to fly and enjoyed traveling, especially to Montana and Canada. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his brother John Allen Brown. He is survived by his wife, Margie Gallimore Brown; son, Darren Brown of Asheboro; grandchildren, Cody Brown, Kaitlyn Robbins and husband Tyler, Kaleb Brown; great granddaughter, Klara Robbins; sister, Barbara Lovill of Dawsonville, GA; nieces, Kim Loftis, Sherry Craven, Laura Garner, Jenni Breedlove; nephew, Barry Brown. Mr. Brown will lie in repose Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Science Hill Friends Meeting, 2421 Lassiter Mill Road, Asheboro with Rev. Michael Fulp officiating. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow in the church cemetery.
