Benjamin Steven "Ben" Stanley, Jr., age 72, of Asheboro, went home to be with his Holy Father on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 11:00 am at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mark Richardson and Rev. Jonathan Shook officiating. Entombment will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Mr. Stanley was a native of Siler City, a US Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 45. He was former owner of Stanleys Fried Chicken of Siler City, was retired from Liberty Life Insurance Company and was currently working with the Greensboro News and Record. Mr. Stanley coached Little League baseball and was an avid Braves fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Margaret Lucille Poole Stanley and his grandson, David G.S. McMasters. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Stanley Stanley; daughter and her spouse, Debby and David McMasters of Randleman, NC; sons and their spouses Jeff Stanley and Beau Walker of Randleman, NC, Alan Stanley and Mark Carmichael of Mebane, NC, Benjamin S. "Jami",III and Benji Stanley of Randleman, NC; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Sandra Bolton and her daughter, Trisha of Greensboro, NC; brother, Russell Lee Stanley of Mobile, AL; brother and his spouse, Tony and Opal Allred of Siler City, NC; step-brother, Steve Stanley of NC; faithful canine companion, Bubba. The family will receive friends Friday, September 28, 2007 from 7 to 9 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice.
