Virgie Lenora Rollins Thompson, age 88, of 4739 Pisgah Covered Bridge Rd., Asheboro died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Rev. Frank Barrett officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Virgie was born on November 17, 1918 in Biscoe to the late William Henry and Della Brown Rollins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Kelly Thompson in 1977. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond E. and Louise Thompson, Ambert and Lillie Thompson, Leonard and Ruth Thompson; grandchildren, Raymond A. Thompson, Suzan T. Latham, Daylin Perrin; great grandchildren, Meredith Dawn Thompson, Kristen Leah Sports, Michael Thompson, Chloe Thompson, Savannah N. Latham, Ashton Latham, Michael Perrin, Kaitlynn Perrin; step great grandchildren, Zachary Murray, Vincent Jessup and Angie Jessup. The family will receive friends Friday, November 2, 2007 from 7 to 9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC, and other times at the home.
