Ted Brown

James Theodore "Ted" Brown of Star died Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Ted was a 1956 graduate of Asheboro High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He also attended Greensboro College and was a state A.A.U. springboard diving medalist. He was retired from Trans World Airlines.Ted was preceded in death by his parents, S.T. Brown, Jr. and Alma S. Brown, and by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S.T. Brown, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Stutts, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Karen Brown, and his son, Adam Robert Brown, of Fort Myers, Florida.Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5 at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel in Asheboro by the Reverend Ronald Coleman. Interment will follow at the Star Town Cemetery in Star, North Carolina.The family will receive friends between 12:00 noon and 1:30 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro on November 5, 2009.
