Margie Rae Poindexter

Margie Rae Poindexter, age 88, of Asheboro died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Poindexter and Rev. Jeff Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Poindexter was a native of Surry County and was a member of Bible Truth Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Poindexter. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Greene of Robbins, NC; sons, Charles Poindexter of Seagrove, NC, Clarence Poindexter of Asheboro, NC, Carlie Poindexter of Holden Beach, NC, Larry Poindexter of Denton, NC, Tommy Poindexter of Asheboro, NC, Marty Poindexter of Candor, NC; 33 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ranzie Knight of Winston-Salem, NC, Ola Mae Humphrey of Ramseur, NC, Stacy Fie of Winston-Salem, NC; and brother, James Poindexter of Rockford, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Tommy Poindexter, 439 Pleasant Cross Rd., Asheboro.
