Joe John Cassett

Joe John Cassett, age 76, formerly of Colony Road, Asheboro died Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Salem Terrace, Winston- Salem. A native of New Hall, WV he was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Asheboro, he was a graduate of Seton Hall University and had retired from Burlington Industries in Asheboro as a Cost Accountant. He is survived by his wife: Clara Pruett Cassett, step-son, Myrix Webster Newman, Jr. of Asheboro, NC; 3 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren The funeral will be Wednesday, January 27th at 11:00 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Father Christopher Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.
