Mildred Davis Williams, 90, of 145-A Idlewild Dr., Randleman died Monday, February 1, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth L. Reaves and Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park Mildred was born in Troy, NC on May 24, 1919 to the late Calvin and Willa Mae Davis. In her early years she worked in retail at Anchor, Belk's, Tobias and Teen Haven. She worked for the US Postal Service for 25 years. She was Postmaster at the Central Falls Post Office before retiring. She was a member of Balfour Baptist Church. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Charlie O. Williams, her daughter Alice Routh of Franklinville, NC, her sister Juanita Fitch of Burlington, NC, her son-in-law James McDaniel, Sr. and her grandson Michael Williamson. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Williamson and her husband Harold of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Charlene McDaniel of Randleman, NC; son-in-law, Bobby Routh of Franklinville, NC; sisters, Becky Luther of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Virginia White of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Alisa and Amy Routh both of Randleman, NC, Robert Routh of Franklinville, NC, Susan York and her husband Mike of Asheboro, NC, Jeri Arrington and her husband Charles of Randleman, NC, Jim Bo McDaniel and his wife Christy of Ramseur, NC, Jodi Hildreth and her husband Chad of Sophia, NC; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Pat Williamson, 2477 Glade Rd., Asheboro and at Mildred's home, 145-A Idlewild Dr., Randleman. The family would like to sincerely thank the ISU nurses and staff of Randolph Hospital for the care she received during her extended stay there and to the nurses with Hospice of Randolph.
