Judy Meacham Crotts, beloved wife, mother, and nana graduated to her new home in Heaven on Monday, April 26, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 2235 Spero Road, Randleman with Rev. Tommy R. Kidd Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Community Church Cemetery. Mrs. Crotts was born on May 19, 1943 in Troy, NC to Walker Poole "WP" Meacham and Pauline Smith Meacham. Judy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she served as Custodian for 30+ years, was former director of the Children's Choir, and taught Sunday School for 30+ years. She formerly sang in the "New Life Trio." She is survived by her husband, Reid Crotts of the home; son, Brent Crotts and his wife Lisa of Asheboro; daughters Darlene Hackett and her husband Daniel of High Point, Melissa Jones and her husband Dale of Asheboro, Julie Tysinger and her husband Pastor Brent Tysinger of Asheboro; grandchildren, Melanie Nance and her husband Todd, Erinn Frazier and her husband Ben, Emma Hackett, Kaleigh Jones, Lydia Jones, Aiden Tysinger, and Liam Tysinger; great granddaughter, Isabelle Nance; and mother, Pauline Smith Meacham of Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009. Judy's family would like to express a special thanks to Pastor Tommy Kidd and the congregation of Friendship Baptist Church, and also to the congregation of Mt. Pleasant Community Church. The family would also like to thank Hospice of Randolph and Dr. Patricia Shevlin for the care given to Judy during her illness.
